SHAH ALAM: Welcome to the first ever issue of the Tinta Times! We are a team of secondary students that produce the school’s online bulletin, where we cover events and write features about Sekolah Tinta and its people. We publish on the first Monday of every month.
For this month’s issue, we went over the recent Merdeka Day event, the cross country competition that many of the students participated in, the arrival of Yubi the cat as well as much more, prepared by the journalists, camera crew and video editors of the Tinta Times.
Though getting things started has been rather chaotic, and much time was spent getting accustomed to the roles and responsibilities of the editorial, camera, video editing and web development teams, we’ve already learnt valuable skills that I’m sure will serve us well into the future.
So far, it’s been a fun experience to work with everyone, even if we are still finding our footing. The only way from here is up, and I can personally guarantee that the quality of the articles, photos and editing of broadcasts will only improve as we grow.
